Overnight Parking Requests
The Fox Valley Metro Police Dept. has changed the
way it handles overnight parking requests. Previously, persons wishing to park a vehicle on
Village streets overnight during no parking hours
would have to be personally granted permission by
an Officer. Now, the Fox Valley Metro is
implementing a daily overnight parking request
hotline. The parking request line will make it easier
to request parking permission for vehicles as well
as make the FVMPD more efficient.
Per Village ordinance, vehicles are not permitted to
park along Village streets or in Village owned parking lots between 2:00 a.m. and
6:00 a.m. between December 1st and April 1st.
Vehicle owners may request permission from the
Police Dept. to leave their vehicle parked on Village
streets or parking lots during this period. To request overnight parking permission, individuals should contact the
overnight parking request line at (920) 788-7512 and
follow the automated system.
Fox Valley Metro Police Dept. has established a
few guidelines to ensure this program is successful:
• Multiple day parking requests will not be
accepted.
• Parking requests must be received between
6:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.
• Parking on the street will not be permitted when
inclement weather is projected.
• Parking requests must include vehicle
owners name, telephone number, vehicle
location, vehicle description and license plate #.
For unusual requests, contact Fox Valley Metro
Police Department during business hours at
788-7505.

Requests for Larger Recycling Carts Are Being Accepted
We do not know when we will receive the larger carts, but we are taking requests for them at this time. If you wish to receive a 96 gallon recyling polycart, please call the Dept. of Public Works at 920-788-7395 to reserve your cart. Only 100 carts have been ordered and will be provided to residents at a cost on a first come, first served basis.
Residents who want the larger polycart will be required to give back the 64 gallon cart in order to receive the larger cart. Those residents receiving the larger recycling cart will be required to pay a one-time fee for the cart; however, the Village of Little Chute will remain the owner of the polycart. The fee (unknown at this time) will cover extra costs associated with the cart such as shipping, assembly, delivery, extra services, maintenance, etc.

Private Snow Removal
For the safety of pedestrians within the Village, an ordinance is in place that requires that sidewalks be entirely cleared of ice and snow no later than 24-hours after each snowfall. When sidewalks remain snow or ice covered the Village may notify the owner, occupant, or lessee to clear sidewalks within a stated time period.

If, after notification has been attempted and sidewalks remain uncleared, the Village will clear the ice and snow and will bill its services to the owner, occupant, or lessee. If the amount assessed is not paid within 30 days after it is billed, the Village Clerk shall place the amount due plus finance charges on the next succeeding tax roll as a special charge pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and the Village Code of Ordinances.

Also, remember that it is unlawful to deposit any snow or ice from any private property onto any public street or alley, public or private sidewalk, or public lands dedicated to public use either before or after the public streets have been plowed. When using a snow blower, be sure to direct the snow onto the grass areas of your yard and not onto the street!
