Voter Registration Information
You must be registered to vote in the Village of Little Chute prior to casting a ballot. If you have previously registered in the Village, you do not need to register again but you may contact the Village Clerk to verify your registration status or check online at Voter Public Access: http://vpa.wi.gov
In order to qualify to register to vote in the Village:
- You must be a U.S. citizen
- You must be 18 years old on or before Election Day
- You must have resided in the Village for at least 10 days immediately preceding the Election
- You must not currently be serving a sentence including probation or parole for a felony conviction and not otherwise disqualified from voting
- If you have a current and valid Wisconsin Driver’s License or Wisconsin DOT issued identification license or identification number it must be provided on the Voter Registration Application.
- If you do not have a current Wisconsin Driver’s License or Wisconsin DOT issued identification card, you can use the last four digits of your social security number.
You have three options for registering to vote:
1.
In Person: You may register at the Village Clerk’s office located on the first floor of the Village Hall (108 W. Main St.) Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
2. By Mail: Print the Voter Registration Application and Voter Registration Instructions. (Deadline for registering by mail is the 3rd Wednesday prior to the Election. Your application will not be accepted if the postmark is after this date.)
Voter Registration Application and Instructions
Instructions for Mail Registration: Complete the application and mail to the Village Clerk’s Office, 108 W. Main St., Little Chute, WI 54140. Please note that the Village Clerk’s Office must receive the application by the 20th day before the election and that any person registering to vote for the first time and submitting the registration application by mail must provide acceptable identification. Acceptable identification is as follows: a current and valid photo ID such as a driver’s license, or a current utility bill, government check, bank statement, a current pay check or government document. Be sure to sign the registration form or it will not be accepted.
3. At the Polling Place: You may register on Election Day at your polling place. Call the Village Clerk to find your polling place (920) 788-7380 ext. 204. In addition to providing your Wisconsin Driver’s License or State Issued ID or Social Security Number, you must bring proof of residency that you have lived at your present address for 10 days preceding the election. The Voting Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and you may register at any time during those hours. (Lines can be long during elections that generate a large turnout of voters so please keep that in mind and register ahead of time, if possible

Acceptable Forms of Proof of Residence Include:
*Current and valid Wisconsin Drivers License
*Current and valid identification card issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
* official identification card or license issued by a Wisconsin governmental body or unit or by an employer in the normal course of business, but not including a business card
* cable television, gas, electric, telephone or other utility service statement for the period commencing no earlier than 90 days before election day
* real estate tax bill or receipt for the current year or the year proceeding the date of the election
* bank statement
* paycheck
* residential lease which is effective for a period that includes Election Day
* a picture ID or fee card from a university, college or technical college
Proof of residency does not include a piece of mail addressed to the voter.
