The public libraries of the Fox Cities and UW-Fox Valley have come together with the goal of building a larger sense of community and to promote literacy. Each year, we select an author and title to promote for Fox Cities Reads and encourage the people in our communities to read, think, talk, listen, and grow together.
Join others in the Fox Cities by reading the selected books and by participating in discussions that will take place throughout the Valley in the coming months. The author will speak at area libraries April 22-24 during the Fox Cities Book Festival, so you’ll have a chance to meet him in person and ask him questions about his book. Copies of the book are available for check out at the library. More information is available online at http://www.foxcitiesreads.org/.
Chuck Kell, Village of Little Chute Administrator, supports this year’s Reads program – "For the 7th consecutive year Fox Cities Reads is offering a great collaborative program and opportunity for readers from all corners of our communities and society to come together to meet and engage with each other and with some of the most distinguished authors of our time."
The Fox Cities Book Festival is scheduled to take place April 17-24, 2013 with a variety of authors and genres represented in venues across the Fox Cities. Check out http://www.foxcitiesbookfestival.org for the latest list of authors and events coming up. Visiting authors’ books are on display at the library, so please pick up a copy of something new and come and meet the author during the Festival.
