Absentee Voting
Requesting an Absentee ballot is available to all registered voters. You do not need a reason to request an Absentee Ballot.
You can confirm your voter registration at http://myvote.wi.gov
For regular voters an Absentee Ballot request is good for one calendar year. You can also choose which election(s) you'd like to receive an Absentee Ballot. Your Absentee Ballot will be mailed to you with a return envelope complete with postage and instructions.
Absentee By Mail requests for 2024 can be made starting January 1, 2024

OnlineThe fastest and simplest way to request an absentee ballot is to visit MyVote.wi.gov. You will be asked to enter your name, birth date and verify your voter information. Select the election(s) you would like to vote absentee. Voters who are required to proved a photo ID should attach a copy of their photo ID to the request. This can be a photo taken with your smart phone or tablet of your ID. A “selfie” is NOT considered acceptable photo ID. Request must generally be made by 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the election.
Request by Mail.
Complete the Application for Absentee Ballot and mail or bring it into the Clerk's Office at 108 W. Main Street, Little Chute, WI 54140. In order for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you, the application must be received in the Clerk's office no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the election. The last day the Clerk's office is allowed by State Law to mail a ballot is the Thursday preceding the Election.

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you. You will need to fill out a short form and have a photo ID to make this request.
If you reside in a nursing home or are hospitalized, please contact the Village Clerk (423-3852) for information on the procedures for receiving an absentee ballot.

Updates to Absentee Envelopes
New absentee ballot envelopes were recently approved by the Wisconsin Elections Commission and will provide voters with a more user-friendly way to vote absentee in upcoming elections.
Voting In-Person Absentee
In-Person Absentee Voting will take place in the Clerks Office:
14 days prior to the election, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30pm
A photo ID is required.

In-person Absentee Voting ends at 5:00 p.m. on the FRIDAY BEFORE ELECTION. Absentee Voting will not take place the Saturday, Sunday or Monday preceding the Election. This is State Law.
On June 29, 2020 the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals issued its ruling in the One Wisconsin Institute case that had been on appeal since 2016.
Effective Immediately:
In-person absentee voting may be conducted beginning no earlier than 14 days prior to each election and ending no later than the Sunday prior to election day. No in-person absentee voting is allowed on the Monday prior to election day. Wis. Stat. § 6.86(1)(b).
