Departmental Updates  

We will do our best to track service changes, cancellations, or additions.  This is also a great resource for contacts and information in regards to each department’s response to COVID-19 in relation to Village of Little Chute Operations.


  • All Village of Little Chute facilities are closed to the public until further notice.  You can access our staff directory here:
  • Our number one goal at this time is to continue all essential operations for the residents of Little Chute, which may mean changing how we do business.
  • The Village of Little Chute vows to be flexible in delivery of services given the current environment.

Clerk’s Office

  • Absentee ballots can be requested at or 
  • With the changes mandated by Gov. Tony Evers "Safer at Home" order that will go into effect at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25th we have decided it’s safest for all involved to conduct in-person absentee voting by appointment only. We still strongly encourage everyone to visit to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them. Requesting an absentee ballot is quick and very simple. We will receive your request in minutes and mail out an absentee ballot complete with instructions and return postage included. You can vote from the comfort and safety of your home. If you have any problems and are unable to use please call the Clerk’s Office at 423-3852 for assistance.  
    Please share this information with any family members or neighbors that may need assistance. It is our goal to ensure all Little Chute residents are able to vote safely during these challenging times.

Community Development

Department of Public Works

  • Although the Village Hall is closed you can still reach Public Works by calling (920) 423-3865 or e-mailing At this time our day to day operations have not changed.
  • Bulky Item Collection - Bulk item collection that was scheduled for March 25th to March 30th has been suspended until further notice.
  • Winter Parking Restrictions - As of March 19 the Winter Parking Restrictions (Section 26–70B) will be lifted early for the Village. Residents will be able to park on the streets overnight. If there is a snow event in the forecast, please move your vehicle(s) to the driveway.
  • Yard Waste Site - The yard waste site is scheduled to open April 1st (weather dependent). Yard waste access cards will not be renewed until then as well.
  • Spring Cleanup - Weather permitting the crew will be out next week (starting March 24th) for Spring cleanup of yard waste (leaves, grass, garden debris) only. Please place leaves on the terrace and not on the street for collection.
    • Note a dedicated spring cleanup will also take place April 20th – 24th.

  • Permits - Right-of-way permits should be submitted through e-mailed to All payments should be mailed to Village Hall or dropped off in the outside payment drop box at Village Hall.

Engineering Department

  • Closed office to general public, questions regarding construction projects or assessments can be taken by calling 920-423-3865.
  • Bid Letting for Carol Lynn Drive, Homewood Court, Moasis Drive, and the Railroad Crossing Improvements (Quiet Zone) are being rescheduled for March 30th.
  • The rescheduled Bid Letting will be conducted by a virtual bid letting process and will be provided on-line. Addendums will be published in Quest for each project on March 23, 2020 with instructions and time of letting.
  • Engineering staff are available during normal business hours (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) and can be contacted by phone as listed in the Village of Little Chute Engineering Department Staff Directory.

Finance Department

  • Suggested Payment Options during the emergency include: Mail (staff is picking up mail and processing each day from the Post Office) or drop box under canopy on Grand Avenue entrance (box emptied several times daily on business days plus a supply of envelopes in box next to payment box for your convenience)
  • Online Utility payment service using our 3rd party provider PSN. Suggest using FREE e-check options or there is a credit card option available for a fee of 2.75%. See further information
  • NEW! Extended due date for dog licenses to 4/30/20. We encourage the public to print the online application form to fill out and mail in or use night drop box including required information and payment. We will mail back your license and documentation.
  • We are here to answer your questions so please call for any payoff status or other questions regarding special assessments using the staff directory for direct call options or phone the general line at 788-7380 select option 1 then option 2.

Fox Valley Metro Police Department

Kimberly - Little Chute Library


  • Closed the library to the public and canceled all programs
  • Extended due dates on items checked out at libraries closed to the public (there are still some providing curbside service)
  • Extended expiration dates on library cards to prevent disruption of online resources
  • Altered collection agency settings so patrons will not be sent to collections during this time
  • Changed the Hold Pickup Locations in InfoSoup to Temp Closed for libraries closed to the public
  • Set collections of libraries closed to the public to a Temp Closed status so they don’t get paged for holds
  • Disabled Shoutbomb SMS and Sierra notifications for hold pickups
  • Updated the days closed table in Sierra so
    • Fines won’t accrue
    • Holds will remain on your hold shelves without losing time

  • Reviewing other online service opportunities

Municipal Court

  • In-person payments currently not accepted. Citations can be paid one of three ways:
    • Online: (jurisdiction code 6738)
    • Outside drop box (located on East side of Little Chute Village Hall): Cash, check or money order
    • US Mail: Please make check payable to: Village of Little Chute & do not send cash in mail
  • Defendants can submit a written plea (no contest, guilty or not guilty) for upcoming court dates. No contest or guilty pleas may include a brief statement. Any person failing to respond shall still be found in default as if they did not appear.
  • Submit plea one of four ways (all pleas should be signed and dated and include a phone number where you can be reached).

  • Initial appearances scheduled for March 19, 2020 and April 16, 2020 are being rescheduled. You will be notified by mail of your future court date. You may submit a written plea (as stated above) if you prefer.
  • All not guilty pleas (submitted as stated above) will be referred to the Little Chute Village Prosecutor. You will receive instructions on how to proceed. Please remember to include your phone number.
  • If you do not wish to contest your citation (and did not plan to appear in court) please follow above instructions for payment.

Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department

  • Closed office to general public, so in-person registration currently not available. Families are encouraged to register for summer programs online ( or by calling 920-423-3869.
  • Cancelled all recreation programs through the end of April. Fees will be refunded to those program registrants.
  • Cancelled free senior activities program and practices for the community band until further notice.
  • Cancelled all Van Lieshout Rec Center facility rentals through the end of April. Renters will receive a full refund if they cannot rebook their event.
  • Park restrooms are closed to the public.
  • Village parks and trails are still open to the public but the village strongly encourages you to maintain social distance of at least six feet from other people.  Do not use parks or trails if you are sick. 
  • Closed park playgrounds and skatepark until further notice (per Gov. Evers "Safer At Home" order 3/25)
