At the May 6th Committee of the Whole Meeting, the Village Board appointed current Park and Recreation Program Supervisor, Donna Koebe, to be the Interim Director of the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. As one could imagine, the busiest time of year for the department, mainly due to its full operational schedule, is the summer. This created a challenge in the recruitment process for Director's position.

In addition to the hectic summer schedule for the Department, there are key organizational changes occurring in the Village, from the hiring of an engineer in Public Works to other strategic initiatives being implemented Village-wide. These actions created an opportunity to take pause in filling the position immediately, while also taking into account the busy recreation and park season around the area.

The Village of Little Chute has tentative plans to advertise the position later this summer or fall with the goal of filling the position by year end.
